If you love radio...

...you ought to be listening to the voices, rising in the air over this troubled-yet-still-amazing country. Today, it's Bob Edwards, interviewed by Knight Ridder reporter Karen Ravin. Here it is in the Indianapolis Star. Among other things, Bob says:
"Commercial radio isn't a valid news media [sic] anymore..."
Commercial Radio needs to hear this, and much more.

For example, this morning on CBS-TV's lonely gem, "Sunday Morning," VH1's incomparable Bill Flanagan said, "You wouldn't know it by listening to the radio..." but there are five singer-songwriters out there you need to know about. In effect, he's saying, Commercial radio isn't a valid music medium anymore, either.

People have been saying things like this for years. You've heard them...you know you have. Arbitron doesn't measure this. And it never will, even with "people meters." It's the elephant in commercial radio's living room.
